Current State of New Combat System

Animations: We've been trying a few different animations for all our actions and see how they look on our combat system. There aren't too many games that have similar 2D characters and a combat mechanic so we had to invent how our animaitons should look like. In the final, we decided not to add too many frames to any of our combat animations because they would decrease the tempo of the fight and they don't feel right. A few impactful and descriptive keyframes is what we needed in the end. We could standartize all attacking animations and movement animations. Others such as animations when characters cast a buff on themselves or resting animations were easier to decide.

Balancing and More Characters: We slightly started to balance the Valeria fight and will start adding more characters.  Creating enemies is much more easier than our previous combat system so when we release this major update we expect the fightable characters are going to be 3-4 times more than what we have now. And not all of them are boss fights, we will add side battles for Valeria, Livia, Gloria and other upcoming bosses.  Side battles are your income for fame and gold.

Push Action:

Push action makes your opponent immobile for a turn, this way it will be easier to run away and get yourself together for a second. Also creating space for yourself will make it easier to use environment, drink potions, cast buffs or debuffs.

We work really hard for this update, and we are not able to add more bosses to arena since the combat system will completely change, so we need to hurry up and release this is soon as possible. We have new enemies written, waiting to be added. Please share your feedback about how it looks, how you want it to be.
